Seminar:  The Basics of Buying on eBay

You may have sold items on eBay through iSold it.  But have you ever bought on eBay?  Does shopping the world's largest online marketplace interest you, but you just need some help getting started? 

If so, have a professional teach you the right way to buy on eBay!  The Basics of Buying on eBay is taught by iSold it of Dallas co-owner Cheryl Goldstein, an Education Specialist Trained by eBay, and uses the most up-to-date training materials from eBay University.

In The Basics of Buying on eBay, you'll learn:

  • How to search for the item you want
  • Pricing and bidding strategies
  • Paying for your item safely
  • Tracking your bids and purchases in My eBay
  • And much more!

This dynamic and fun class is perfect to help new eBay buyers learn to navigate the eBay shopping platform, giving them an insider’s map and some hints on how to be a successful, safe, and savvy shopper. 

Seminar information:
  • When:  Thursdays, 6:30 - 9:00 p.m. (see dates below)
  • Where:  iSold It stores in Addison & Plano (locations vary; see map to find a location near you)
  • Cost:  $25.00 per person (advance registration required)

The registration deadline is noon on the day of the class.
About Your Instructor

As co-owner of three franchised locations of iSold It on eBay in North Dallas and Plano, Cheryl Goldstein lives the eBay selling experience every day.  

But under her personal eBay ID thepuzzlemom, Cheryl is also an avid eBay shopper, buying everything from clothing and housewares to collectible jigsaw puzzles (her personal passion) on eBay in her spare time. As an Education Specialist Trained by eBay, she is eager to share with you the tips and tricks she has picked up along the way.

Additional Information

Prerequisite skills: All you need for this seminar are basic computer and internet navigation skills. You do not need to already have an eBay or PayPal account. You do not need to bring a computer to the seminar.

Registration: To keep our seminars small and personal, we limit each one to 12 attendees. Please register in advance to ensure your seat.

Cancellations: We may cancel, reschedule, or relocate any seminar if necessary. If we cancel a seminar, we will give you a full refund of your registration fee. If we reschedule or relocate a seminar, you may attend the rescheduled or relocated session, choose another available session, or request a refund of your registration fee.

Refunds: If you are unable to attend a seminar for which you have registered, you may request to attend on a different date (limit one rescheduling request per person), if space is available. Alternatively, if you cancel at least 48 hours before the start of the seminar, you may request a refund of your registration fee minus a $10 cancellation charge. We regret that we cannot refund your registration fee if you cancel within 48 hours of the seminar.
